Norman Lodge History
Norman Lodge was consecrated at 4pm on Thursday September the 9th 1920 at Romsey Town Hall.
Provincial Grand Master Rt W Bro Augustus Webster officiated.
The first Master was W Bro C T Waters, a Past Master of the Lodge of Emulation (No. 1990), who was Mayor of Romsey at the time.
He was installed into the chair before a board of 54 Past Masters.
There were 25 founding members and as would be expected, many were local businessmen.
Founding Senior and Junior Wardens were 2 brothers, G H and AT Mitchell, who were linked with the Mitchell Bros Garage, once in Romsey.
The first annual subs were £2.12.6d.
